Soccer Game Preview: Presentation vs. Valley Christian

The Presentation Panthers will square off against the Valley Christian Warriors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Presentation's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

It was a proper cat-fight when Presentation faced off against St. Ignatius College Preparatory on Saturday. Presentation took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Ignatius College Preparatory. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Wildcats are ranked 68th).

Meanwhile, Valley Christian hadn't done well against Saint Francis recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Valley Christian's defense stepped up to hand Saint Francis a 1-0 shutout. Maya Patience had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Warriors.

Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Presentation, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
