Baseball Game Preview: Yorkville Foxes vs. Bolingbrook Raiders

For the second straight game, Yorkville will face off against Bolingbrook. The Foxes will take on the Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

While Yorkville's victory against Bolingbrook wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Foxes' pitcher stepped up to hand the Raiders a 2-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Foxes in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won five in a row.

Not much got past Gabe Sanders, who gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Bolingbrook off the board. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for Sanders.

Yorkville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bolingbrook struck out 12 times.

Yorkville's victory bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Bolingbrook, they dropped their record down to 4-18 with the loss, which was their 23rd straight on the road dating back to last season.
