The Decatur Bulldogs will square off against the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Decatur is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs last Thursday. Decatur blew past Tri-Cities 5-1. Given Decatur's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Tri-Cities is ranked 260th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Decatur's offense was hitting Tri-Cities from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, St. Pius X Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Marist by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty nine goals in the game before, St. Pius X Catholic's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Decatur's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those five contests. As for St. Pius X Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.

Decatur was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Pius X Catholic in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-0. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
