After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Troup County, Riverdale was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Mt. Zion Bulldogs 21-5. Considering the Raiders have won four matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Riverdale now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mt. Zion, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverdale will challenge Stone Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mt. Zion, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Luella at 5:30 p.m. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
