Basketball Recap: Macksville Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Macksville kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 65-21 loss at the hands of the Bucklin Red Aces. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Red Aces: they've now lost six in a row.

Daniela Reyes and Heidy Ortiz certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Reyes posted 11 points, while Ortiz scored no points.

Macksville and Bucklin will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Mustangs will face off against rival Ness City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bucklin is set to take on their familiar foe Spearville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
