Football Recap: Eustis Takes a Loss

Eustis had lost five straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 1-9 to make it six. They were outmatched by the Oviedo Lions and fell 63-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 59-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

As for Oviedo, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 12.4 points on average over those games.

A big part of Oviedo's win came down to the chemistry between Caden Manning and his top target Brock Joyce. Manning threw for 183 yards and five TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes while Joyce rushed for 128 yards and one score. That's the most rushing yards Joyce has posted since back in October of 2024. Oviedo's leading receiver DaShon Febres was Manning's top target yet again, picking up 51 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

As of now, neither Eustis nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
