Baseball Game Preview: Druid Hills Red Devils vs. Northview Titans

The Druid Hills Red Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Northview Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Druid Hills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Druid Hills couldn't beat Gatewood on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Red Devils fell just short of the Gators by a score of 8-7. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryder Sibly was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Meanwhile, Northview got the win against Southwest DeKalb on Monday by a conclusive 17-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Dylan Gooch spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Kakeru Nakai was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Daniel Tompkins was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Northview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.8.

Druid Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Northview, their record now sits at 5-13.
