University Prep is 9-0-1 against Lassen since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The University Prep Panthers will welcome the Lassen Grizzlies at 5:15 p.m. University Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

University Prep is headed into the matchup having not lost since January 13 and will look to keep things rolling. They won by a goal and slipped past Yreka 2-1. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 489th, while the Miners are ranked 1000th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lyndsey Schuster and Mikayla Clarkson scored both of University Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Lassen managed to keep up with West Valley until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Lassen lost 4-1 to West Valley. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Grizzlies couldn't push the score so high this time.

University Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those nine games. As for Lassen, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Everything went University Prep's way against Lassen in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as University Prep made off with a 3-0 win. Will University Prep repeat their success, or does Lassen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
