Baseball Recap: Loganville Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Loganville Christian Academy extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 5-14 in the process. They lost 10-3 to the Tallulah Falls Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Tuesday.

As for Tallulah Falls, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

For Tallulah Falls' part, Drew Barron looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Barron has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ashton Roache was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with six stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Franks, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Tallulah Falls beat Loganville Christian Academy by a score of 13-3 later that day.
