After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shelby, Hesperia was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Lakeview Wildcats. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 17-11 loss the last time these two teams met.
Hesperia let Braxton Hendrix and Weston Hasted run wild. Hendrix went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, while Hasted went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Hendrix a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Evan Conkle, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.
