Mills and Castilleja squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Mills had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Castilleja Gators by a score of 44-41. The Vikings' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Castilleja to victory, but perhaps none more so than Antonia Vlahos, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Layla Gallon, who posted eight points along with nine boards and five steals.

Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Castilleja, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

Mills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Castilleja, they will square off against Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lowell sitting on ten straight wins and Castilleja on nine.
