Basketball Recap: Gracie Sines Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Cumberland Valley's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They rang in the new year with a 45-38 win over the William Penn Bearcats. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cumberland Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gracie Sines, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 16 points in addition to five boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Mcintire, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 12 points and three blocks.

Cumberland Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.
