Baseball Recap: Vidalia Heritage Academy Comes Up Short

Vidalia Heritage Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one run.

Jake Adams was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has become a key player for Vidalia Heritage Academy: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

Vidalia Heritage Academy now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
