Baseball Recap: Community Christian Academy Find Success

After losing to The Habersham School the last time they met, Community Christian Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Community Christian Academy Eagles blew past The Habersham School Patriots 12-6 on Friday. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Kylin McDonald was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-5. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Wade Vickers, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.

Community Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as The Habersham School only posted a batting average of .261.

Community Christian Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for The Habersham School, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community Christian Academy will challenge Georgia Christian at 4:00 p.m. on March 21st. Georgia Christian will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Community Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight. The Habersham School will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Coastal HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th.
