Jackson hadn't done well against Pike County recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Jackson blew past Pike County 9-2. Considering the Red Devils have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. Pike County's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson will square off against Morgan County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Morgan County will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Jackson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pike County, they will take on Luella at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
