Softball Recap: Sonoraville's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

The Sonoraville Phoenix didn't have quite enough to beat the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs on Saturday and fell 3-2. The loss put an end to the Phoenix's undefeated start to the season.

Sonoraville got a good showing from Luci Mullinax, who struck out six batters over 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Annslee DeFoor was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Hannah Bradley was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sonoraville fell to 2-1. As for Winder-Barrow, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Sonoraville will take on East Forsyth at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Winder-Barrow, they will host Monroe Area at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
