Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Le Mars). Everything went their way against the Jefferson Yellowjackets on Tuesday as they made off with an 8-1 victory. The score was close at halftime, but Le Mars pulled away in the second half with six goals.

Le Mars' win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 2-3-1. As for Jefferson, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Le Mars is taking a road trip to challenge Unity Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Unity Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Le Mars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Jefferson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Treynor at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
