Basketball Recap: Glenn Takes a Loss

Glenn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 44-14 defeat at the hands of the Santa Ana Valley Falcons. The Eagles lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-8 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Santa Ana Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jayleen Roldan, who posted 12 points. Esperanza Guerrero was another key player, putting up ten points.

Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Santa Ana Valley, their record is now 4-10.

Glenn will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pioneer at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Santa Ana Valley, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bolsa Grande at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolsa Grande's defense has only allowed 23.4 points per game this season, so Santa Ana Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
