Soccer Game Preview: Greeneview vs. Belmont

The Greeneview Rams will take on the Belmont Bison at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Greeneview: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Belmont has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Greeneview is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Greenon on Tuesday. The Rams lost 3-0 to the Knights.

Meanwhile, Belmont kept a clean sheet against Ponitz Career Tech on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Panthers, sneaking past 1-0. Belmont's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Belmont's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Greeneview, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1.

Greeneview suffered a grim 6-2 defeat to Belmont in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Rams were down 5-2.
