After flying high against Williams on Thursday, Joseph City came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell just short of the Show Low Cougars by a score of 8-6 on Saturday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

April Neill made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Gabby Jesmer, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Joseph City's loss dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Show Low, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 23-6.

Joseph City didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-3 victory against Ash Fork/Seligman on the 28th. As for Show Low, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 16-2 win against Coolidge on the 3rd.
