If Fort Bend Hightower beats Ridge Point with 63 points on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Hurricanes simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Fort Bend Austin 63-7. The game marked the Hurricanes' most dominant victory of the season.

Khylan Davis produced another solid effort rushing for 105 yards and three TDs on only eight carries, while also throwing for 223 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Cori Robertson, who picked up 120 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Fort Bend Hightower didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Fort Bend Austin to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Oluwatomilol Ajao for the heroic effort on defense: he. Fort Bend Hightower has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.61 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.61 in their last three games.
Fort Bend Hightower's defense also made the game a nightmare for Koen Herrmann, racking up nine sacks. Ajao led the group effort, picking up 2.5 of those sacks all by himself. Fort Bend Hightower received some extra help from Robert Lindley, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Ridge Point on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Fort Bend Clements out of the water with a 70-0 final score. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Rangers are ranked 783rd).
Fort Bend Hightower better focus on containing Aiden Akins and Brody Bartee as the pair were huge in Ridge Point's win. Akins rushed for 110 yards and three TDs on only nine carries, while Bartee threw for 157 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Bartee a new career-high in passer rating (168.8).
Fort Bend Hightower's record now sits at 6-2. As for Ridge Point, their record is now 8-0.
Fort Bend Hightower ended up a good deal behind Ridge Point in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, losing 35-20. Can the Hurricanes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
