Jenkins waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 13-2 victory the Buccaneers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.

Jacob Pilcher and Charlie Stuart did most of the damage at the plate: Pilcher scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1, while Stuart scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Pilcher a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Brian Swinton, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Jenkins pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for McIntosh County Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.
