Soccer Game Preview: Glenn vs. Cerritos

Glenn is 0-10 against Cerritos since February of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Glenn Eagles will challenge the Cerritos Dons at 3:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Glenn is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 8-0 to Artesia. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1120th, while the Pioneers are ranked 292nd).

Meanwhile, Cerritos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Artesia.

Cerritos' loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Glenn, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Glenn might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Cerritos when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Glenn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
