Soccer Recap: Hiram Comes Up Short

Hiram fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Cass on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cass Colonels by a score of 3-2. The Hornets have struggled against the Colonels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Hiram's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Cass, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hiram will welcome Allatoona at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Allatoona will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Hiram surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cass, they will be playing at home against Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cass is facing Woodland at the right time seeing as Woodland is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
