Softball Recap: Malcolm Comes Up Short

If Malcolm was feeling good fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Milford on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Clippers lost 11-3 to the Beatrice Orangemen on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Clippers in their meetings with the Orangemen: they've now lost six in a row.

Morgan Tiedeman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI. Mikiah Witzel also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Malcolm now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Beatrice, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Malcolm didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-1 defeat against Central City on the 11th. As for Beatrice, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Seward on the 11th.
