Softball Recap: Deerfield-Windsor Takes a Loss

If Deerfield-Windsor was feeling good fresh off their 17-11 takedown of Westover on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights lost 12-3 to the Valwood Valiants on Thursday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Valiants recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Deerfield-Windsor saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Phillips, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Deerfield-Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Valwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deerfield-Windsor will host Dougherty at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valwood, they will be playing at home against Echols County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
