Soccer Recap: Mendez Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Mendez was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell just short of the Roybal Titans by a score of 2-1. The Jaguars have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Mendez's goal came courtesy of Magaly Garcia-Sanchez, who's now up to four this season.

Mendez's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 9-2-2. As for Roybal, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-1-1.

Mendez has already played their next game, a 5-0 win against Robert F. Kennedy Community on the 5th. As for Roybal, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Hollywood on the 5th.
