Roosevelt extended their winning streak to 12 games thanks to a huge performance from Nyleigh Gregory. The Roosevelt Rough Riders came out on top against the Independence Falcons by a score of 45-35 on Saturday thanks in part to Gregory, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine assists. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Roosevelt's points.

Despite the loss, Independence still got an impressive performance from Ka'Rayah Robertson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Robertson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenadi Walton, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Independence, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Roosevelt will take on Sacramento at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Independence, they will look to defend their home court on January 6, 2025 against Foothill at 6:30 p.m.
