Coffee was the 1-0 winner over Houston County when they last played one another on Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears on Thursday. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jocelyn Fender made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Coffee's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Houston County, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5-1.

Looking ahead, Coffee will head out to challenge Brantley County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3, the Herons 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Houston County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tift County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
