Gridley has gone 7-0 against Live Oak recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Gridley Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Live Oak Lions at 7:30 p.m. Gridley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Gridley turned things around against Corning on Tuesday. They strolled past the Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 57-40.

Meanwhile, Live Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a blow against Las Plumas, falling 48-20. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1224th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 427th).

Gridley's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-15. As for Live Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Gridley strolled past Live Oak in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 52-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gridley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
