Basketball Game Preview: Bedford Bisons vs. Forest Hills Rangers

Bedford hasn't had much luck against Forest Hills recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bedford Bisons will welcome the Forest Hills Rangers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Monday, Bedford was beaten by Bishop Carroll 60-25. The game marked the Bisons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Forest Hills was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 56-50 to Westmont Hilltop.

Bedford will have to contain Aivah Maul as she made an impact in Forest Hills' last game. She went 9 for 22 to rack up 29 points and three steals. Maul has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Paxtyn Pcola, who posted seven points and six boards.

Bedford's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Forest Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.

Bedford might still be hurting after the 57-31 defeat they got from Forest Hills when the teams last played back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Maul, who went 7 of 17 en route to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.
