Preview: Kennedy Titans vs. Irvington Vikings
Kennedy is 0-10 against Irvington since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Kennedy Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Irvington Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Kennedy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
Kennedy suffered their biggest defeat since December 2, 2023 on Monday. They were beaten by Irvington 61-29. While losing is never fun, Kennedy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1054th, while Irvington is ranked 232nd).
Despite the defeat, Kennedy got a solid performance out of Liliana Banda Banda, who scored nine points.
Kennedy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Irvington, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Kennedy was taken down by Irvington 61-29 in their previous meeting on Monday. Can Kennedy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
