Cherokee Bluff waltzed into their game  on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They put the hurt on the East Hall Vikings with a sharp  7-1 victory. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by six  runs or more this season.
Cherokee Bluff got a great performance from  Gabe Gowder as he  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. Gowder is becoming a predictor of Cherokee Bluff's success: when he allows at  most one  earned run the team is 5-1 (and 3-7 when he doesn't).
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Jordan Wilkerson, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI and two  doubles. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was  Ethan England, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
The  win  got Cherokee Bluff back to even at 8-8. As for East Hall, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record  this season.
Cherokee Bluff will have a chance to go back-to-back against East Hall: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
