Lutheran faced Erie in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lions put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 9-1 win. Considering the Lions have won ten contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Annie Schroeder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Lutheran got a massive performance out of Kiley Glenn, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double. Addie Brightman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.
