Softball Recap: La Conner Braves vs. Concrete Lions
La Conner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 28-15 to the Concrete Lions. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Penelope Gwin led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Rachel Bill was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
La Conner's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Concrete, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
While La Conner had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
