Football Recap: Chartiers Valley Starts Season with Defeat at Home + How To Watch

Chartiers Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 38-15 to the South Fayette Lions on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

South Fayette's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bo Stover, who rushed for 59 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. The Lions also got a significant boost from Drew Welhorsky, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 81 yards.

Looking ahead, Chartiers Valley will face off against West Allegheny at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Fayette, they will square off against Shaler Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
