Baseball Recap: Meadowcreek Comes Up Short

Meadowcreek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Peachtree Ridge Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 14-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Meadowcreek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Escobar, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Escobar hit this season.

Meadowcreek's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Peachtree Ridge, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Peachtree Ridge beat Meadowcreek by a score of 10-0 later that day.
