Football Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington lost against Platteview back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Minutemen took a 27-13 bruising from the Trojans.

Logan Grosdidier had an outrageously good game for Platteview as he rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 219 yards and one TD on only 17 passes. Those 66 rushing yards gave Grosdidier a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Lance Christiansen, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Platteview, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Lexington has already played their next matchup, a 48-14 loss against Northwest on the 12th. As for Platteview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-28 win against Beatrice on the 12th.
