Basketball Recap: Granite Bay Finds Home Court Redemption Against St. Francis

There's no place like home for Granite Bay, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They managed a 55-51 victory over the St. Francis Troubadours on Wednesday. This was a revenge game for the Grizzlies: when they faced off against the Troubadours on January 8th, they had to take a 50-45 defeat.

St. Francis lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Sydney Teoh, who went 7 for 16 en route to 20 points. Another player making a difference was Lexi London, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Granite Bay's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14. As for St. Francis, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

Granite Bay and St. Francis could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Granite Bay will square off against Folsom at 5:30 p.m. on Friday down 460 places (473 vs. 13). Similarly, St. Francis (ranked 268th) will meet Whitney (ranked 100th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
