Tohatchi is 8-2 against Wingate since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Bears at 1:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tohatchi has four straight victories, Wingate has 14 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Thursday, Tohatchi got the win against Newcomb by a conclusive 3-0.

Tohatchi never let Newcomb on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-20, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Wingate lost 3-0 to Navajo Prep on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-8.

Wingate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Tohatchi, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.

Everything went Tohatchi's way against Wingate in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Tohatchi made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
