Ripken Birdwell put up the most passer rating he's had since back in October of 2024 on Friday. He threw for 218 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 37 yards and one TD. He was dominant the last time he took on Hughes Springs back in October of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming.

Birdwell and Hooks will be playing in front of their home fans against Daingerfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will pit Birdwell up against the Tigers' star quarterback Isaiah Parker.
