Jones County won the last time they faced Hampton and things went their way on Monday too. The Greyhounds' pitchers stepped up to hand the Hornets an 11-0 shutout. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by eight runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Jones County and bumps their season record up to 16-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Hampton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
