Recap: Beaumont United Timberwolves vs. King Panthers
The Beaumont United Timberwolves were the 72-48 winner over the King Panthers when they last played one another on January 3rd, but their luck changed this time around. Beaumont United took a 62-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of King on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Beaumont United has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Beaumont United had strong showings from Weston Davis, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and five blocks, and Kayde Dotson, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Davis has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Daniel Williams, who scored five points along with three steals and two blocks.
Beaumont United's defeat dropped their record down to 24-3. As for King, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
Beaumont United will be playing at home against Summer Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Summer Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Beaumont United is ranked 11th). As for King, they will head out on the road to square off against Atascocita at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Atascocita is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 21 games.
