Basketball Recap: Clearfield Alliance Christian Gets the Win

Clearfield Alliance Christian's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They snuck past the Great Commission Bears with a 21-17 victory. This was a revenge game for Clearfield Alliance Christian: when they faced off against Great Commission back in January, they had to take a 36-26 loss.

Despite the defeat, Great Commission saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ava Bordack posted four points in addition to ten rebounds, seven blocks, and five steals. Those ten boards set a new season-high mark for Bordack. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Hall, who put up seven points along with 14 rebounds and five steals.

Clearfield Alliance Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Great Commission, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Clearfield Alliance Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Great Commission, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-40 defeat against Blair County Christian on the 14th.
