Recap: Scotts Valley Falcons vs. King's Academy Knights
The Scotts Valley Falcons lost against the King's Academy Knights back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Scotts Valley took a 39-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of King's Academy. While losing is never fun, Scotts Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 858th, while King's Academy is ranked 420th).
Scotts Valley's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brooklyn Williams, who scored 8 points. Abigail Shi was another key contributor, scoring 6 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Scotts Valley and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for King's Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scotts Valley will take on Gunn at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. King's Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Aragon at 6:00 p.m. on December 8th.
