Softball Recap: Washington Picks Up Tenth Straight Win on the Road

Washington came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the West Burlington Falcons get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. That's two games straight that the Demons have won by exactly 13 runs.

Washington pushed their record up to 19-6 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for West Burlington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season.
