Basketball Recap: Taylor Morris Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Norristown

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chester, Penn Wood was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 48-43 victory over the Norristown Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Penn Wood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylor Morris led the charge by putting up 16 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Morris is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last five games she's played. Jaylah Kennedy was another key player, posting five points along with six steals and three blocks.

Penn Wood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive contests.
