Soccer Game Preview: San Marcos vs. Buena

The San Marcos Royals will challenge the Buena Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. San Marcos' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Thursday, San Marcos came up short against Dos Pueblos and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, San Marcos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 509th, while Dos Pueblos are ranked 227th).

Meanwhile, Buena entered their tilt with Pacifica on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Tritons get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory.

Buena's win bumped their record up to 11-8-4. As for San Marcos, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-2.
