Softball Game Preview: Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs vs. Campbell Spartans

The Kennesaw Mountain Mustangs will head out to square off against the Campbell Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Campbell took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Kennesaw Mountain, who comes in off a win.

Kennesaw Mountain took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over Whitefield Academy. The win was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Campbell came up short against Paulding County on Thursday and fell 6-3.

Aubrey Headd made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Carter Smith also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Kennesaw Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Campbell, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Kennesaw Mountain suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Campbell in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
