Basketball Game Preview: Notre Dame Regents vs. Pinewood Panthers

Notre Dame is 0-9 against Pinewood since January of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Notre Dame Regents will be playing at home against the Pinewood Panthers at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Notre Dame is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Sacred Heart Prep to the tune of 68-30 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Regents sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Pinewood waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Hornets, posting a 70-39 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 22 points or more this season.

Pinewood's win came from a few key players Notre Dame will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Katherine Garr, who went 7 of 10 en route to 16 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jolyn Ding, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Pinewood's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.8 points. As for Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
